The Water Procurement Association Thomasberg (WBV) is a water and soil association and a corporation under public law. We supply around 33,000 people with drinking water in the mountain area of the city of Königswinter and in parts of neighbouring towns.

As soon as possible, we are offering a position as:

Water master / operations manager with a focus on personnel management

  • Technical and disciplinary management of employees in the field of water extraction, treatment and distribution
  • Personnel scheduling and management of day-to-day operations
  • Support, motivation and development of employees, including conducting employee appraisals
  • Ensuring safe, economical and legally compliant plant operation
  • Organization and monitoring of maintenance, repair and on-call services
  • Participation in investment and modernization measures
  • Monitoring and compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards and occupational health and safety measures
  • Cooperation with authorities, service providers and internal departments
  • Support in the further development of processes and organizational structures

Profile

  • Successfully completed further training as a water master (m/f/d), industrial or craft master (m/f/d) in the field of water management or comparable qualification in the field of water supply / environmental technology
  • Relevant experience in managing employees
  • Several years of professional experience in water supply or a comparable technical environment
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working
  • Extensive knowledge of the relevant technical regulations and legal requirements
  • Safe handling of digital work equipment and documentation systems
  • Driving licence class B, preferably also BE, driving motor vehicles and special vehicles as well as power-driven equipment
  • Ability to train trainees desirable
  • Knowledge of hydrology, hydrochemistry and their measurement methods
  • Willingness to take on on-call duties
