Traffic Monitoring and Municipal Security Service (f/m/d)
The position in grade A 10 (career group 2, general service) or pay group 9c TVöD is to be filled as soon as possible on a full-time or near-full-time basis.What to expect
- Management of the traffic monitoring and municipal security service, this includes in particular general management activities, personnel, finance, organizational responsibility, tasks of fundamental importance:
- professional guidance, coordination and control of personnel
- Coordination of the monitoring of stationary and moving traffic
- Participation in traffic signage in the city area
- Participation in expert committees such as the Determination Commission, AK “Traffic”, Accident Commission, Municipal Prevention Council of the District
- Development of preventive concepts and implementation of the implementation
- Advising the Lord Mayor on preventive measures
- Higher-level processing for the subject area
- Decision in cases of doubt under traffic and regulatory law and ensuring uniform implementation
- Relocation of vehicles in technically difficult cases and processing of cost assessments
- Processing of inquiries from the fines office
- Review and maintenance of data records, e.g. in the case of duplicate entries
- Forwarding to the fines office if responsible
- On-site inspections and forwarding of findings
- Processing of complaints and information from citizens
- Statistical processing and evaluation of work results

What you bring to the table
- You are a civil servant in career group 2, above the 1st entry-level office of the General Service or have the career qualification for this in accordance with 14 para. 3 of the State Civil Service Act of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (completed preparatory service or a university degree completed with a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree with suitable full-time employment of at least 2.5 years)
- The suitable full-time activity of at least 2.5 years can be performed in the position to be filled in the employment relationship.
- They meet the other requirements for appointment under civil service law (in particular 7 BeamtStG, 18a LBG M-V).

- You have a university degree (FH diploma or bachelor’s degree) in the field of public administration, have completed further training as an administrative specialist or have completed the employee course II, or can prove equivalent skills and experience.
- You have in-depth and extensive knowledge of traffic and regulatory law.
- You are well versed in the applications in Microsoft Office.
- You are characterized by social skills (such as teamwork, communication, compromise and conflict skills), leadership skills, a high level of commitment, assertiveness and a high level of psychological resilience.
- You have empathy in dealing with citizens; work independently, results- and service-oriented and appear confident, correct and friendly.
- You are in possession of a category B driving licence.
