Job Title: Locum Physician – Emergency Medicine

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
  • Manage an average of 1.5 patients per hour with dedicated mid-level assistance during peak hours.
  • Perform required procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, and critical care interventions.
  • Utilize Meditech EMR efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable with all emergency scenarios including procedural sedation and airway management.
  • Complete necessary documentation and follow established protocols for patient care.
  • Participate in orientation and training as needed, particularly for shifts beyond 8 hours.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required).
  • Minimum of 250 case logs in the last year.
  • Must possess current PALS, ATLS, ACLS certifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active North Dakota medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license is preferred.
  • Must have current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS.
